Extended harmonic range
A 7 string prs setup is aimed at players who want more range for modern guitar parts while retaining the refinement and clarity associated with PRS instruments. The extra low string expands riff writing, chord voicings and lead possibilities, making a 7 string prs guitar suitable for progressive, metal and contemporary rock styles. It appeals to UK musicians who want a premium extended-range instrument.
Balanced feel and response
PRS guitars are known for comfortable ergonomics and strong build quality, and that approach carries through to their seven-string models. A 7 string prs instrument can feel familiar to players who already enjoy a conventional electric guitar, but with enough extra range to handle heavier arrangements. The result is a guitar that supports precision without feeling overly specialised.
Stage, studio and writing
For songwriting and recording, a 7 string prs offers a broad tonal palette in one guitar. It can cover deep rhythm work, articulate leads and richer chords, helping players move between styles with ease. For musicians who want an extended-range guitar with a polished feel and versatile voice, a 7 string prs is a compelling option.
